Initially when looking for childcare I decided that a childminder setting would suit my 1 year old daughter best. I made this decision following visits to some popular nurseries in the area as I felt a more personal ‘Home’ environment would be better for her. I saw a new nursery had opened in the area and decided to view it having already chosen a local childminder. When I came to view the nursery I felt welcomed and at ease straight away. I was struck by how personal and genuine all of the staff were and I was pleasantly surprised that my daughter was happy to go and play without me at her side. Before leaving that day I had decided I would like her to attend there. This was based on the welcoming environment that put me at ease and the way the staff responded to my fears and anxieties as a first time Mum. The nursery created a homely environment I had been looking for. From the day my daughter started I have nothing but positive praise and feedback for the staff and the nursery. My daughter has absolutely thrived there and has formed strong relationships with the staff there, who are all kind and caring, and always seem enthusiastic and passionate about the children and various activities and themes. I think my daughter benefits greatly from socialising with children of different ages and has made lots of friends. The newly refurbished garden is lovely and my daughter loves playing in it, and inside the room is split in to different areas offering different opportunities for learning through structured and free play. Nursery staff are very flexible and easily to communicate with which really is reassuring as a shift worker. I genuinely cannot recommend Les Petits Sunshine Nursery enough.

My daughter Ava-Rose has been with sunshine day nursery for almost four months and she has since thrived. She’s no longer timid but brave and very exploratory. She now smiles when she arrives early and when picked up after work she is happy to see me but wants to continue playing and running around excitedly. I am very happy and comfortable leaving Ava rose at sunshine as I know they’re all very caring staff; from owner, to deputy, to employee; that go above and beyond to ensure her overall wellbeing. Its the little things that also matter like her dirty clothes are placed in separate bags. Spare clothes are given if required. Special requests are adhered to and always with a smile and no fuss when running late from work for example. Ava has been made to progress on her ability at her rate and I’m very comfortable with the way she’s being nurtured by someone other than me. She’s become a confident toddler who knows what she wants, when she wants it, is very expressive, and a little ray of cheeky sunshine. My daughter has made TREMENDOUS progress in her social development and learning since she started at the nursery. My daughter is always beaming with smiles and laughters whenever i drop her off and pick her up. They have a great team of staff who genuinely care about your child’s well-being and development. They worked tirelessly to help my daughter develop her confidence to take her first BOLD step in walking. Now, she is happily running everywhere. If you’re looking for a safe and happy place for your little one, Les petite Sunshine will definitely be the sunshine in your little one’s life!!!.

As a parent of a child who has been at the Sunshine Day Nursery since it’s opening, I can sincerely say that I am satisfied with the service that the provision offers. The activities that the nursery provides has certainly added to my now two-year-olds development and experience of learning, exploring and becoming a well-rounded individual. Since the new deputy has joined the team I can honestly testify that this has further improved. My child is advanced and tends to become bored quite quickly. This has been recognised. Through meetings with staff I have been able to discuss how best my child’s needs can be met. I have been asked for my opinion and for any useful strategies or learning resources that could be a beneficial investment for the nursery. I am a parent who upholds education as being principal to an individual’s life. It is of great importance to me. This parental inclusion has given me the opportunity to become a part of my child’s learning process whilst she attends the nursery. It has given me a voice and encouraged me to continue the good work and practices in the home environment. I am continually informed about my child and her achievements. I am delighted to be a part of sharing good practice. I am confident that the change to the new structure will continue to add to my child’s early life experiences, boost her academic ability and create a safe and warm environment where she feels comfortable.
